Deck the Halls!  I’ve been in the Christmas mood since before Thanksgiving. =)  I’ve been decorating the apartment like crazy, and it is very nice and festive now =)  Mom and I always made our Christmas decorations when I was little, and I’m so excited to get to decorate in our new place!  I finally got to use all my wonderful Christmas ornaments.  I have a lot, ones my sister gave us, the ones we made on my birthday, and some photo ornaments I made recently.  Oh, and all the ones I got on sale last year after Christmas.  So here it is, my tree!  We completely rearranged the furniture, which I love to do, so even if it isn’t the best use of space, it feels nice for a change.

You can see my tree, my quilt, garland, and the card holder I got from Target

My tree skirt! I’m very proud I used up all the scraps from the Christmas quilt. And I found that I love the random patchwork! It’s efficient and pretty =)

My tree! I especially love having pictures of my family on it. Next year maybe I’ll add even more!
I ended up with sort of a star theme, lots of my ornaments are stars or snowflakes.

I got these stars from Ikea

My couch. We made the throw and pillow out of our old duvet cover.
I really like the new shelves I bought, because I can change what’s displayed all the time.  They work perfectly for the stocking holders, which was the original purpose.  And they match nicely with the frame Dad and I made.

This holds my scrapbook pages. The top comes off so I can easily change what is displayed.

I really wanted to do something in the kitchen to make it less white, and this worked out really well.  It only cost about 25 dollars too, I got the frames at IKEA and just used scrapbook and wrapping paper to write Believe.

I’ll probably change what the frames say after Christmas, but I love having some color over there!

Here you can see my other cool star from Cost Plus world market, and more ikea finds =)
I put up some icicle lights in the bedroom, and put out my winter fairy =)

My winter fairy!

Here are some of the ornaments on the tree.  I painted the picture frame ornaments red and silver.  I have most of the family on the tree, and next year I’ll add more!  I have a snowflake saved for Barrett, my nephew that will be born right after Christmas.

Raegan!

The little church is part of a set Jen gave me.  There are twelve ornaments, and each symbolize something, like the butterfly that represents peace with nature, or the heart that is love in the home.  It’s the first time they’ve been displayed properly!  You can also see one of the beaded ornaments that we made for my birthday.  They sparkle just like I hoped!  And sometimes the prisms make rainbows =)
