Sean’s Visit!

Monday, December 10th, 2007
Sean came to California to visit!  Eric especially was in heaven because he got to go to a ball game, climb on crazy trees, and play Descent.  I got to play the games too, and it was so nice to see Sean!

Bachelor/Bachelorette Party!

Monday, December 10th, 2007
In October we went to Norman so we could go to Gavin’s Bachelor Party, and so I could go to Jennie’s Bachelorette party.  The bachelorette party was a blast!  We had fondue and went to Summer’s apartment for some great games!  And some veeerrry interesting games involving Johnny Depp.
I got to go to Jennie’s dress fitting!  I adore her dress =)  I couldn’t put this up before now cause Gavin didn’t want to know what her dress looks like.  Or at least that’s my current excuse for not updating since August.  Anyway =)  Her dress is so beautiful!  She was uncomfortable with the strapless concept so we had the seamstress put in a tiny strap.  It matched perfectly!

I was invited to the bachelor party!  So was Jennie =)  It was an awesome session of Dnd!  Brian, Gavin’s brother Richard, Jennie, Gavin and I were the adventurers, and Eric was the DM.  It was a blast!  The general story was that we had to stop evil people from getting the amulet of a demon prince, so we journeyed back in time to rescue it.  Gavin was a dwarven fighter.  Well, it was a lot more complicated tha n  that but you’ll have to ask him to explain =)  What I remember best was his awesome Scottish accent =)  I took a movie it was so hilarious.  I was a druid who shape changed, mostly into tigers or bears, but once into a giant plant.  Turns out that summon unicorn is an extremely useful spell.  Richard was a half giant.  He spent the entire first day riding a broom to get to the top of the mountain.  He was more useful the second day though =)  Brian was a crazy invisible ninja.  Jennie was a broomstick.  Oh, wait, boomstick.  She cast lots of fiery spells.  It was fun!  We finally managed to get the key to the amulet by defeating two iron golems on a pedestal over an endless chasm.  I had to summon giant eagles to catch people when they fell off =)  Finally, Eric almost beat us because the amulet took Gavin over.  We sort of had to kill him to keep him from getting the amulet and becoming evil.  We didn’t mean to kill him, but we had him down to negative hit points and then we took off his magic items which made him die.  We brought him back though =)  And destroyed the amulet!  Fun for all!

Oklahoma Visit November 07

Monday, December 10th, 2007
In November I got to go to Oklahoma!  I went a few days before Eric so I could visit with my family a bit!  It was so wonderful!  My poor mother picked me up at 11pm in Oklahoma City (my plane was late).  It was supposed to be convenient for her to get me in OKC but she’d just moved away from Stroud, and so had to drive all the way from her new house in Tulsa.  The new house is wonderful though, and I know she will love being so near Mimi and all the family!  I know it was very nice to get to see everyone!  We got to babysit Raegan and Carson as poor Kelly had to have surgery on her gallbladder.  Jen came by with Barrett, and brought us Pei Wei for lunch.  Mom picked up Mimi, so we had a real party!

The kids have so much fun together!  And of course, I have so much fun with them =)  Barrett immediately asked to watch Cars =)  He is addicted.  He loved the Cars lunchbox I brought him =)  I sat on the floor with the kids running around me and every now and again I’d grab them and tickle them.  Barrett even sat in my lap for a while to watch the movie.  He was getting a little sick, but it was still nice to get to snuggle!  Carson is SO much bigger!  He was still a tiny baby the last time I saw him.  Now he loves rolling around, and crawling will be soon!  He is such a sweet baby, and a real snuggler =)  He’s cutting teeth though which is never fun!  Raegan is just as cute as she can be =)  She loves playing with animals.  She carried this bunny that was as big as her all over the place!  Every now and again she’d let me hold it so she could hold her pumpkin for a while.  At one point we were hiding from the vent cleaners in Mom’s bedroom, and we started making faces.  She loves it when I roll my tongue.  It made her laugh every time!  I think she can almost do it herself =)

The kids just love this little table mom has in her play room.  Technically, it’s the dining room, but who needs one of those?  =)   The playroom is perfect!  And Raegan and Barrett love sitting in chairs that are just their size.  Barrett, at the moment, sounds like he’s saying SH instead of S… so when he talks about sitting in chairs it’s hard to keep a straight face.  So cute!
Later that evening (after Mom took me out for WONDERFUL Mexican food) we went to Jen’s house so I could see Little Casey.  I had brought him a dinosaur dominoes game, which we had a lot of fun playing!  He beat me two out of three =)

On Wednesday, I got to visit with Dad, Uncle Homer, Aunt Bea, and Jake!  Eric was in town by then, so we all went up to OKC to visit.  Jason and Tiffany were even driving down on their way to Tulsa for Thanksgiving, so we all got together!  It was so much fun to get to see them!  They were very excited when we told them about the baby.  Dad was very proud that he hadn’t let it slip =)  They took us to Ted’s for lunch.  My favorite Mexican food from a restaurant!  It was so good, but we’d just had breakfast so we had leftovers for dinner.  Yum.  We got to listen to J play his guitar, and he showed off his great computer graphic stuff.  He’s making lots of art for their walls and stuff.  It was so great to get to visit!
