Family Game Night
Monday, March 18th, 2013
Finally, the event that I proposed last summer to Uschool! Jen had told me that the focus of the year was building community, and of course my mind immediately went to game night. This was SO much fun! Eric and I pulled out about thirty of our board games and took them to the school to play them with other Uschool families. We divided them roughly by age group, although we had a variety in each section in case parents and older siblings were with the younger ones. I was with the youngest group, and Serenity got to play Sequence for Kids, Obstacles, Busy Busy Airport, and so many of her favorite games! And she even taught a couple to her friends, which was fun to watch. I got to teach one group how to play Ticket to Ride, which was fun. Eric taught Settlers of Catan to a group, and he has definitely gotten them addicted to it. We got several requests to hold this event again, and we are thrilled!!!
