Serenity’s Cutest Moments Year Two =)
Ok, this is not nearly all of them, but this is a copy of all the ones I thought funny enough to post on Facebook, plus a few extras =) They are very randomly organized but I’m about journaled out so they’re staying that way.

I love the way Serenity thanks people when she’s very excited. She first said this to Far Far when he gave her a pile of colorful playing cards. “thank you Far Far that’s so SWEET!” The “sweet” is in the sweetest little squeal.

Dancing with Belle. Serenity has always loved dancing, whether it was marching with Pookie or just doing her own cute little kick of the leg dance. But when she fell in love with Beauty Beast she started doing their lovely spinning dance with all her stuffed animals, and even occasionally with Mama and Daddy. She even sings the song, “Tale da da daTime, Song to Make it Rhyme, Beauty and the Beast.” Here’s a conversation she had with her Daddy one day: Eric: “Serenity, are you ready for pacifiers?”(nap) Serenity: “No, I gotta dance!!!!

Serenity has been singing SuperCaliFragilisticExpialidocious this morning… I can tell because she says um diddleiddleidle um diddle I… but then she sings… Super California =)

(At this moment, she is climbing onto a chair in the office, saying “You can DO it Serenity, you can do it! You did it!! Clap clap clap” All aloud =) She learned cheering on Super Why =)

One morning she told me very seriously “I live in a house, Mama lives in an IGLOO.” I made her repeat the word igloo three times before I was sure what she was saying, it was so out of the blue! It’s hilarious, creative and imaginative, and I look forward to seeing this new trait more and more! Later that same day she said “I live in a sand castle and Mama lives in a sand castle. Together!”

One day we took Serenity to the park and she said “Slides make me happy. I like happy” =) (of course it sounds like “I yike happy!”
January
When we went to the Vasona Park and walked out to the lake, Serenity was so excited to get to throw rocks in the pond! She got into a good rhythm with Farfar, he’d hand her one rock and she’d toss it in one after the other. Then he tried to trick her by handing her a paci instead of a rock, but she wasn’t fooled! It went pop right into her mouth and she held out her hand for the next rock, not breaking the rhythm. =)

Serenity requested pretzels with her eggs one morning… when I put them on her plate she said “That’s a good Mama” in the exact same tone that I use when I say, “what a good girl you are!”
The day after shoe shopping: Serenity’s first words upon waking up this morning: “My Shoes!!!” Then she rolled out of bed and said “I go get them” Pink shoes are a powerful thing =)

So for the last few weeks, Serenity kept wandering around waving her arms and saying “Womba Womba to the Ground!!!” I could not understand what she was saying, but it was so cute and exuberant I really wanted to know. Well finally I figured it out! I noticed her fingers were in the raindrop position from music class! She was singing Little Raindrops falling down, one by one (womba womba) onto the ground! It’s too cute!!!

April: Serenity has started asking for kisses when she gets hurt. She’ll run to me and whimper, “hurt your toe!” and say “kiss your toe!” She loves to get kisses so much =) Sometimes she’ll just ask for kisses all over. “Kiss your head!” “Kiss your knee!” “Kiss your cheek!” “Kiss your neck!” One day she even asked “Kiss your tongue!”

Serenity at the feed store talking to the ducks: “Quack. Quack!! Quack quack quack. Guess what? Quack!!!!”
I asked Serenity if she wanted to go outside and water the plants with me this morning. First she said “yea!” which is her usual positive response. Then she said. “I do! I really do!”
Serenity woke up to the epiphany that her sheets are red. I hear through the monitor, “It’s red! It’s red!” =) She was so excited… she’s had these sheets since birth =)
We had a blast at Brandon and Nicole’s wedding… maybe a little too much fun. Serenity spent nearly the whole night on the dance floor, except for the few seconds she spent stealing a glass off the table and enjoying her first taste of champagne. I have no idea how much she drank, but probably not much… right? She was in excellent spirits…
“That’s crazy!”
February 2nd Serenity said “beautiful beautiful mama” today. Of course, to put it in perspective, she also said “beautiful beautiful horse” to her plastic toy pony.
On Monday, Serenity woke up in a very fun mood. She went down to her window, and said, “shopping, shopping, shopping!” I asked her what she wanted to go shopping for, and she said “clothes!” Then I asked her if she wanted new pants, or a new dress, and she said, “new dress!” It was soo cute. Then she started asking for Aunt Jennifer, who she knows instinctively is her best shopping ally. We called her up and went shopping! We got her two dresses, a purple butterfly shirt, a pair of jeans, and a purple batman shirt! And, I got two new pairs of jeans too! It was exciting, and so much fun to enjoy the girlie time together. She always asks to wear dresses when I ask her what she wants to wear, and usually has an opinion on which of her dresses she’d like to wear as well.

December I was totally planning on being lazy this morning, hanging around in my pajamas and baking for Christmas. Serenity had other ideas. She walked over to me and said “Pajamas OFF!” So we went upstairs and she picked out her fluffiest white dress to wear.
October 27th I wish I had a video monitor so I could figure out why Serenity keeps saying ” 1, 2, 3, Wheee!!” in her crib
I love listening to Serenity on the monitor as she’s falling asleep. She often plays quietly for half an hour or more, and she says the funniest things. Sometimes she sings random songs, like her abc’s, sometimes I hear “wee wee wee all the way home.”
September 2nd How can Serenity still be funny when she wakes me up every hour for the last five hours? She thinks she’s a train…
August 3rd When Serenity tries to say “bottom” it sounds like “bummer” =)
July 25th I tried to warn my one year old that if she put rocks in her mouth, we’d have to go inside. Obligingly, she popped two rocks in her mouth and ran inside her playhouse. Outsmarted again by my toddler.
