Serenity’s Favorite Music:

Serenity is really starting to enjoy music.  The few times she gets to hear it she pays close attention and taps her right foot.  Unfortunately Eric and I don’t often play music for her.  I’m thinking about getting her a baby mp3 player so she can play it for herself.  She’s started carrying around the refrigerator barn that plays banjo music like it’s a boom box =)  So she might enjoy getting more songs!
If You’re Happy and You Know it Clap Your Hands (and she says, clap clap, instead of clapping usually)

Mary Poppins: Lets Go Fly a Kite and It’s a Jolly Holiday.  Eric started the Mary Poppins theme music, and we both got in the habit of singing her to sleep with it.

Twinkle Twinkle.  I sang her to sleep with this frequently

Itsy Bitsy Spider and Head, Shoulders Knees and Toes.  Serenity loves the finger play songs.  They’re great for distractions on car trips.

The theme song to Big Bang Theory.  We started watching this show with Dad, and we sang the theme song, which ends with a “Big Bang” and we throw our arms up in the air and shout big bang.  Serenity loves it, tapping her foot in her little dance and waving her arms up in the air.  She’s even said bang a time or two =)

Singing in the Rain

I’m a Little Teapot

Serenity and her Friends go Up and Down (accompanied by lifting Serenity up and down of course =)  We learned this at Gymboree It’s sung to the tune of… well, I’ve sung it as Serenity goes up and down so often now I can’t figure it out!)

Row Row Row Your Boat

Farmer Tad’s Music (Oh Susanna, Farmer in the Dell, banjo music etc)

Hamster Dance Card
