We had such a fantastic trip to Cali! So much happened and I’m a little behind on journaling so I will just share the pictures and captions to tell the story today =) Gotta get the website caught up so November doesn’t get lost in the Daily December =)

Colen and Tina are engaged!!!! We're so so so happy =)

Far Far finally got to meet Donovan! And they were both thrilled =)

Donovan LOVES swinging now!

I am very excited about my camera remote =)

Bobby and Xiao's wedding was beautiful and so so sweet. The kids had a blast dancing together and running around. And the stuffed dog favors were a huge hit!

We carved a pumpkin! Serenity's first carved pumpkin. She loved helping to hammer the cookie cutters in, but did NOT want to touch the pumpkin guts.

Love love love how the pumpkin turned out =)

Eric and Donovan in the swamp on the way to the butterfly habitat.

We got to see thousands of butterflies! I can't believe I never went as many times as we visited Santa Cruz, now I think I'll have to go see them anytime we go back. It was peaceful and magical, and the first time I've really felt on vacation when visiting.

Serenity and Daddy were racing the waves and one knocked her down! Scared Mama who was nursing waaay up on the beach but of course Daddy was watching. Serenity didn't risk that again.

We got to go Trick or Treating in Cali! Andrew, Marilyn and Evan came by, and Serenity was so impressed with Evan's costume that she wants to be a muffin next year, and she wants a muffin birthday. Serenity's goal was to collect twenty pieces of candy, and she succeeded!

As Veronica said to me during the wedding, "Nothing has changed." Serenity is still much friendlier than Aidan would prefer. =) And she's hecka flexible.

We got to have several game days with Henry! All the kids loved this Busy Town game.

Henry's birthday was just spectacular! I loved every minute! Especially the food from around the world, samosas, yum!!!

All the details were perfect, especially all the stack the states logos everywhere!

Jack made the globe cake himself! It was amazing! Serenity got the ball rolling on cake eating by asking repeatedly and singing Happy Birthday until she convinced Patricia it was time. She ate a cupcake but kept eyeing the globe and finally asked Jack if she could please eat South America. It was delicious!

Uncle Johnny =) We got to play Descent for a whole day!

Serenity gets to be Tina's flower girl! She's thrilled, and Ann and I had a blast shopping for cute dresses!

Serenity's studying castles at school, so this castle is very authentic with a moat, drawbridge, and keep.

We went back to Vasona park to throw more rocks in the lake, and enjoyed a train ride!

We made a monarch butterfly, and decorated it with the pretty purple shells =)
